If you want to know what this blog is about, it is about blogs.

That is not a typo. It is intentional. I should be talking about chess and all of these complicated subjects but before that, you have to know what the definition of a blog is. It's more complicated then you think it is.

First, let's use a dictionary. The most common dictionary used now is The New English Dictionary on Historical Principles, Founded Mainly on the Materials Collected by the Philological Society. Also known as The English Oxford Dictionary. Anyway, according to the English Oxford Dictionary, the word blog means:

Ok, since the word "blog" isn't actually a word, let's use the word "webblog" - wait was that a typo?

Rewind everything, because there was a typo in the 404 error. The actual word we have to find is weblog. Anyway, let's go back a second - what does weblog mean?

weblog - verb

1 regularly updating (blogging, blogged)

2 A post on a website

eg. Regularly update a weblog.

Ok, the Oxford Dictionary calls a weblog a post on a website. However, these blogs are more than just that. These blogs are my hub for communication between you and me. All of these will be about my main company, 64 Blunders. I will have lessons, and teach you harder and harder concepts until you are practically a chess master (who probably can beat me because I aren't very good at chess - my elo is probably around 1500).

But what is the point of having a blog? The point of having a blog is very important - the point of a blog is to communicate! I don't know your address - and I don't want to know! I can't just walk out of the city and knock on random houses to hope that there is a person out there who actually read my blog - it would disturb people and probably make people rage! What would you feel if some random person knocked at your door at 3AM in the morning and asked you: Have you ever read my blog for my website? They would probably respond with a shout, saying: Why in the world are you at my front door at 3AM! It's so dark and everyone is asleep!

However, through a blog, we can communicate. I don't need to send letters to you via mailbox, but I can write something on a website (Sveltia CMS) and talk about my chess! Ask Justin Hall! He wrote things to be put on the internet, so everyone could see. He could have done it the old way, but he did it the cool way, writing things on the computer to fascinate the whole world. Now, I am writing a blog - the fundamental of writing this is the same as the writing by Justin Hall.

So if you want to do something, do it slowly - and you might make a discovery.
